"Discovery Lampedusa" is aimed at tourists Who want to visit Lampedusa
Our application " Scopri Lampedusa " is aimed at tourists who have never visited the island of Lampedusa, they do not know the stories of the places they visit or simply do not know how to get there. The app is structured so that in the home page the island's map appears with "hot" points that refer to a new page referring to that place, containing an image, the story and the way you can arrive with a small map of the area.
To move in the app we will have to follow the tourist's invitation and click on the "hot" points: from the country to the beaches, from the sanctuary to the turtles ... that is, all the places that the tourist on vacation on the island can want to visit.
We also thought of adding a list of useful and rescue numbers if you had the urgency to call help.
We enriched our app by adding a guiding item, also available for stories, so that you can visit a place and at the same time know its story without having to go crazy to read the cell phone screen, very difficult under the Lampedusano scorching sun! It will be the authors of the app to read the section they dealt with.
The authors are the boys of the 1 A of the technical institute with tourism address of the Alnicomprensive Institute Pirandello di Lampedusa who thought of creating this app during the computer hours to participate in the School Hackthon 2015 competition competition that saw Italian schools compete to develop the best summer app!
We had never planned before but we followed the MOOC of Program the future, (an online course of introduction to programming aimed at schools and open to anyone)
The class t that has become a small start-up. We presented an idea, we developed it, and finally published on the Google Play Store from which you will have to download it to help us win. The most downloaded app during the summer will be a winner. Convince friends and relatives to download it!
This app does not aim only to participate in the competition and the tourism promotion of the island, but as Lampedusani we want to deny the image that some journalists give about our island: Lampedusa is known in the world mostly for immigrants who arrive here, but it is much more than this, it is an island full of natural beauty and life.
We young Lampedusani, we want to promote our island because we must be the one to design the future and this app is a way to begin with.
